Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread

Who doesn’t love a good garlic bread? Add some cheesiness to it and you have yourself a winner.

This vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread starts with a classic Vegan Italian Bread Recipe and brings all the best flavors from traditional garlic bread without any of the dairy.

I could personally make an entire meal from this bread, but if you are using a more well-rounded approach to your meals, this bread goes great with Vegan Cacio e PepeRoasted Chickpea Lemon Pasta, or aside any pasta using Homemade Garden Veggie Pasta sauce.

Why You’ll Love Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread

  • Quick & easy – This recipe comes together in under 20 minutes. It’s a great way to use up leftover Homemade Italian Bread, but you can also use store-bought bread for this recipe.
  • Delicious – Seriously, the vegan dairy replacements are getting so good these days. I have many non-vegans in my family and they all love this recipe.
  • Perfect side – This garlic bread is a great handheld appetizer or an easy side dish for any meal.

Ingredients For Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread

  • Italian Bread – Make your own or use store-bought.
  • Vegan Butter – You’ll use this to make an herb butter that spreads on the bread.
  • Fresh or dried herbs – I think the fresh herbs really add a powerful flavor, but if all you have is dried herbs, go for it!
  • Garlic – Obviously! Use as much or as little as you’d like. Fresh minced garlic is the way to go for the best flavor, but you can use garlic powder if that is all you have.
  • Vegan Parmesan Cheese – If you want to stick with traditional garlic bread, omit the cheese. I just love vegan parm!

Helpful Equipment For Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread

How to Make Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread

If you are making your Italian Bread, you’ll want to make that first, then let it cool and slice it into pieces of your desired size.

If you are opting for store-bought bread, take 8 slices and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

While the oven is heating, prepare your herb butter. Place the vegan butter in a mixing bowl, and add the diced fresh or dried herbs. Mix well.
