Add the flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda into a large mixing bowl. Mix until evenly combined.
Add the oil, oat milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until a thin batter has formed. If the batter is to thick to slowly pour, add a bit of oat milk.
Pour or spoon the batter into a donut pan. Do not overfill the cavities, or you may lose the hole as the donuts expand while baking,
Bake at 350F for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool 5 minutes before handling.
Brush each donut with water immediately before coating it in the cinnamon sugar topping.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
*A note about granulated sugar: Not all granulated sugar is vegan, make sure to choose a USDA Organic variety to ensure it is not processed with bone char, an animal ingredient. Not Vegan? Replace the plant milk with dairy milk. Brush the donuts with melted butter instead of water before coating in the cinnamon sugar.Gluten-free? Opt for a 1:1 gluten free baking flour replacement and a certified gluten-free plant milk option.Oil-free? I haven't done this yet, but you can try swapping the oil with equal parts applesauce. The donuts may take a few minutes longer to bake. If you try this, let me know how it goes!
