Instructions

  1. Remove the tempeh from all packaging and slice to desired size. Place the slices in an air tight container.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients in a small mixing bowl or glass measuring cup.
  3. Pour the marinade over the sliced tempeh in the air tight container.
  4. Place in the fridge to marinate for 1 hour to overnight.
  5. After marinating, place the strips on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Flip then bake another 8-10 minutes until crispy.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Not Vegan? Use this marinade for chicken or other meats.
  • Not a fan of tempeh? Use this marinade for tofu or seitan.
  • Gluten-free? Stick with a gluten-free tempeh variety (varies by brand), and swap the soy sauce for tamari or coconut aminos.
  • Want a kick? Add 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper to the marinade for some heat.
