Ingredients

  • 6 large avocados
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • ½ medium jalapeno pepper
  • 1 medium shallot
  • 1 tsp each: garlic powder, onion, powder, paprika, cumin
  • ½ tsp each: salt, black pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing and pitting your avocados and tossing them into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Once all the avocados are sliced and in the mixing bowl, use a potato masher to mash the avocados until they're smooth (or leave them chunkier if you prefer).
  3. Next, dice the remaining veggies. Add them to the bowl with the avocado and mix until everything is evenly distributed.
  4. Add the spices and the lemon and lime juice and mix again. Top with fresh ground black pepper if desired. Add more salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips and enjoy!

Notes

    • Not Vegan? Mix in some cotija cheese for added flavor.
    • Want more spice? Add more jalapeno or a hotter pepper like habanero for more of a kick.
